In 2026, we proudly celebrate the 21st Anniversary of Endangered Species Day! Join us in honoring more than two decades of conservation action and wildlife protection. There are countless exciting ways for children, families, K–12 students, college students, and educators to get involved and make a difference as we continue working together to protect endangered species and their habitats.

All About Wolves Lesson Plan
This five-day unit plan by A-Z Animals is designed specifically for elementary-aged children. Students will delve deeper into the mysterious yet fascinating world of wolves, unique members of our beloved canine family. Students will explore where wolves live, their carnivorous diets and abilities to hunt large mammals, their family structures, physical characteristics of wolves, and how they are portrayed in fairy tales and legends. Included in the unit plan are a week’s worth of engaging daily lesson plans, printable instructional materials, downloadable worksheets, graphic organizers, comprehension questions, writing templates, vocabulary activities, and more!
