This week, more than 50 scientists, representatives of 5 Native American tribes, 24 business leaders, and 82 organizations sent letters to Members Congress asking them to oppose legislation that seeks to remove federal protections for gray wolves.
The scientists say in their letter that, “The best available science indicates that the gray wolf occupies a mere fraction of its historic range and therefore has not yet recovered from centuries of systematic persecution.”
The letter is signed by 50 world-renowned scientists and biologists including Rolf Peterson and John Vucetich of Michigan Technological University, and Adrian Treves of University of Wisconsin, Madison.
The letter signed by tribal representatives, business leaders, and organizations from around the United States noted that “(W)olves in states that no longer have federal wolf protections have been subjected to increasingly hostile state management practices.” In it, the signers ask Members of Congress to avoid repeating the mistakes made when it passed the 2011 appropriations rider delisting wolves in Idaho, Montana, and parts of Oregon, Washington, and Utah. That 2011 legislation opened the door to aggressive wolf management in the Northern Rockies and weakened the Endangered Species Act by leaving it vulnerable to future attacks such as ones that are up for consideration today.
You can take action by asking your U.S. Congressional Representative and Senators to oppose any legislation that would strip wolves of Endangered Species Act protections.

At this time, I fear that our country is showing itself to be a most degrading and evil place to live. To destroy our wildlife is to destroy our history, our ability to nurture, our desire to work together in solving problems, and our future. We need to step back and invest our knowledge toward saving our wildlife, rather than finding all manner of greedy excuses to destroy it.

SAVE THE WOLVES!
This is the poorest excuse of government departments I have ever seen in my 66 years, as to the attack on wildlife, it’s habitat, and the lack of protections in programs the government has that ARE working. Running down Wild Mustangs. Trophy seasons on wolves, bears, cougars, and all the animals exploited for the almighty dollar.
DO YOUR JOBS>>PRESERVE IT ALL….THE WILDLIFE, THE HABITAT, OUR RESOURCES AND PARKS, NOW, INSTEAD OF DESTROYING…..It’s not only the humane thing to do , but the SMART one.
Please save these beautiful , amazing , essential animal from extinction ! Protect them under the Endangered Species Act so future generations can love and enjoy seeing these precious animals ! Most importantly is how essential they are to keep our ecosystem form being destroyed! It’s your duty as American Representatives!
Leave these wolves alone…they are indigenous to these areas

Stop killing wolves
Wolves were our partners for tens of thousands of years and were not ever seen as an outsider or threat to our communities. Wolves shared their meals with us and were not competition. Wolves shared in the responsibility of keeping our Earth Mother healthy. Silencing the song of the wolf is in concert with silencing the songs of the Indigenous people. It is connected to how both are viewed by non-Native people. Human intolerance towards wolves equate to human intolerance towards the First Peoples of these lands. They are one in the same.
I am so sorry that I can’t give to the wolves (all of them).
